What's On at Christmas
Carol services
Usually the two or three Sundays before Christmas, often late afternoon or evening. Traditional readings and carols, and the easiest service to bring someone to who does not usually come to church.
Christmas Eve — crib and Christingle
Early evening, aimed at families with children. Short, informal, and often the busiest service of the year.
Midnight Mass
Late on Christmas Eve, typically 11pm or 11.30pm. Communion at midnight, candlelit in many churches.
Christmas morning
Usually shorter than a normal Sunday service, and family-friendly.
